Be Mine Valentine

Alan and I had a fun filled Valentine's Day. We celebrated with dinner at Bistro by the Tracks.
Our dinner was delicious but we weren't really loving the atmosphere (maybe it was just us?!) so we decided that we would continue our night at one of our all-time faves Echo for dessert! Alan had his staple "apple jack" and I had the chocolate mousse! It was the perfect way to end our night!
We also enjoyed some yummy chocolate covered strawberries!
I will say we had a wonderful time but what I truly love is spending time with my sweet hubby. I am so thankful for him. I am thankful for his spiritual leadership, for putting up with my craziness, for challenging me when I am unmotivated, and loving me despite everything. I am one lucky blessed lady!

Heart Day

Yes... Alan and I celebrate Valentine's Day. I know it's one of those cheesy hallmark holidays but we decide every year it's a fun chance to get out for no other reason than to enjoy our time together. This year we are back in Knoxville and went to dinner at the Northshore Brasserie.
It was delicious!
Alan surprised me with a rose (he said he didn't want to get a whole bouquet because we are going out of town tomorrow)
...and we both got cards that neither of us had a chance to write in yet, ha! I guess that's one of those things that happens after being married for a while, can I argue it the thought that counts?! Happy Valentine's Day friends, we are hitting the slopes tomorrow!!!

Love in the Gateway City

Happy Valentine's Day!
Alan and I had a fun and relaxing v-day together this year. I had a day off work so Alan and I got to enjoy lunch together at the Clayton Bakery & Deli and we ran a few errands together in the afternoon. We tried to get reservations at Sidney Street Cafe as we have heard it is a favorite of many of our friends here; however, they were completely booked, but we did make a reservation for later this month...I'm excited! Alan and I made a great dinner together at home of ravioli in a basil cream sauce, toast, and a bottle of rioja (thanks dad for the wine!) Alan and I completed our day together by watching the movie Valentine's Day. It was a fun romantic comedy about the crazy things that people do when they're in love.
