After almost a year of training, the time had come! Alan had begun training last summer with the intent of running the Memphis Marathon in December which ended up being cancelled so he continued his training and transferred to the Music City Marathon instead. We had a great time at the expo the day before checking out all the vendors and just getting excited about the race, Alan was ready!
This was the first time I spotted Alan around mile 3

I was so proud to see him cross the finish line at the end. Not because for a second did I think he couldn't do it, but more of a celebration of the months and months of training he has put into doing this.
A medal well earned!
